Dad n me
Many mediums interest me, but I fell in love with the look and feel of silver in my teen years. My dad was a silversmith, as a hobby. He had a small workshop in the basement of our family home. I spent many hours at his worktable experimenting & had a thriving business in my high school years, selling jewelry to friends & a small museum shop. When I left home, jewelry making fell by the wayside - though I never stopped experimenting w various mediums. It took about 20 years for me to rediscover my love for silver. Since around 2002, I’ve been working as a full time jewelry artist in New Orleans, hand-fabricating my pieces with the tools I inherited from my father.
I am primarily self-taught and use traditional smithing techniques - sawing, hammering, and soldering. I enjoy experimenting in order to discover new ways of incorporating texture, color and images in my designs. These processes include roll-printing and enameling. Some of my favorite designs are pieces w my hand-painted enamels.
I want people to wear and love my jewelry, from the everyday to the special occasion. Please allow for slight variations in jewelry, as each piece is hand-crafted and essentially one of a kind. I take great pride in knowing that the bulk of my business is repeat customers & knowing that my customers are happy. Thank you!
